Shir Chadash! A Retreat-Centered Jewish Creative Leadership Lab

October 29 – November 1, 2026 — Rockland County, NY

Shir Chadash! supports Jewish educators, clergy, songleaders, and cultural leaders who seek to deepen Jewish learning through music, creative ritual, artistic expression, and embodied practice.

The initiative centers on an annual immersive retreat where participants engage in experiential workshops, collaborative creation, ritual design, and reflective practice. Educators explore how creative approaches can foster spiritual connection, belonging, and participatory community life.

The inaugural 2025 pilot retreat demonstrated strong demand and deep participant engagement, supported by nationally recognized leaders in Jewish creative education.

Shir Chadash! is expanding into a multi-year leadership initiative that includes:

• Annual immersive retreat experiences
• Alumni-supported pop-up programs in partner communities
• Publications and learning resources
• Recorded teachings and digital resource sharing

Through participating educators, the initiative reaches learners across the full span of Jewish life, from early childhood through later life.
